About Cole

Currently, Cole is the national Legislative Director for the American Legion. Before that, Cole worked as an advisor to senior leadership at the Department of Veterans Affairs, a military legislative assistant for U.S. Senator Richard Burr, and program lead for The American Legion’s Mental Health portfolio. Cole was honorably discharged as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Marine Corps after serving six years, including a deployment to Afghanistan. Cole earned a certificate for Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management from Harvard University, a M.S. in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a B.S. from Texas A&M University in College Station.

In his spare time, Cole enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking.
